On December 7, 2024, the Guinea-USA Chamber of Commerce participated in a meeting between the Guinean diaspora in the U.S and the Guinean Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The meeting was held at the Hilton Hotel in Rockville, Maryland in the Washington suburbs.
The Guinea-USA Chamber of Commerce was represented by Board Member Akoumba Diallo, and Barry Aminata, Vice President for Membership Relations.
The Guinean Government was represented by the Ambassador Abdoulaye Youla, Secretary General of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Saïtiou Barry, Director of the Office of Guinean Abroad and Ambassador Fatoumata Sidibé Kaba, the Guinean Ambassador to the United States.
This event was organized by the Ambassy of Guinea in the U.S in partnership with the Council of Guineans in the U.S and brought together over two dozen community organizations from New York, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Connecticut, Indiana, New Jersey and Washington DC.
The Guinea-USA Chamber of Commerce took this opportunity to present concrete proposals to the Government of Guinea to help improve the Guinean diaspora’s involvement in the economic development of the country.
